Roasting






There are three broad categories of roast coffee: Light, Medium, and Dark.


The majority of coffee drinkers buy there coffee already roasted. A few people buy roasters and order the green beans and will roast the beans for the freshest coffee possible. You should not assume that there is more caffeine in beans the darker the roast. The style of roast is chosen to provide the ideal flavor profile of the roaster and the drinker.


Light roasts – also known as; light city, half city, cinnamon


Medium roasts also known as; city, American, breakfast


Medium dark roasts also known as full city


Dark roasts – also known as; high, continental, New Orleans, European, espresso, Viennese, Italian, French
